He realizes that he needs to help Ilie find her mother and protect her from the dangers of the infected world.
Finally, they reach their destination, and Ilie's mother is revealed to be a prominent figure in the city and is immune to the cagaster virus. She embraces Ilie and Kidow, and they all share an emotional moment.
