Celebrity Apprentice Season 5 Episode 8 Ad Hawk
- April 8, 2012
In the eighth episode of season five of Celebrity Apprentice, titled "Ad Hawk," the remaining contestants are tasked with creating a 30-second commercial for entertainment.com, a coupon-based savings website. The celebrities must conceive, produce, and present the ad to the executives, as well as pitch the concept to the entertainment.com CEO.
The two teams, led by project managers Lisa Rinna and Penn Jillette, have differing strategies for creating their commercials. Rinna's team decides to focus their ad on families, highlighting the savings opportunities for family outings and events. Meanwhile, Jillette's team creates an ad centered around the idea of a "money bunny" saving money for its users.
Throughout the task, tensions arise between the contestants as they struggle to work cohesively within their respective teams. Rinna's leadership style is called into question, with some team members feeling that their suggestions were not being taken into consideration. Jillette's team faces a setback when one of their key team members falls ill, causing them to pivot their strategy.
As the teams film their commercials, they encounter numerous obstacles, ranging from technical difficulties to creative differences. But eventually, both teams complete their ads and present them to the executives.
During the presentations, the executives provide feedback on the commercials, pointing out strengths and weaknesses. Ultimately, one team comes out on top, winning the challenge and earning a donation to their selected charity. The other team faces a tough boardroom session with the project manager facing scrutiny over their performance.
The episode ends with the celebrity apprentice contestants reflecting on the challenges they faced and the lessons they learned from the task. Despite the tensions and challenges, they all remain determined to succeed in the competition and win it all for their chosen charities.
