Citrus Season 1 Episode 3 sisterly love?

Yuzu’s successful attempts at getting back at Mei for her overbearing ways continue to prove futile. This time, Mei takes things to a whole new level by asking Yuzu to move out of their bedroom and into the storage room. Yuzu is left with no choice but to oblige if she wants to continue living under the same roof as her sister.

Attempting to salvage their sisterly relationship, Yuzu extends an olive branch by inviting Mei to hang out with her and her friends. Mei declines the invitation and instead chooses to spend her time away from Yuzu’s social circle by rekindling her friendship with an estranged former friend. However, the friendship doesn’t seem to be as innocent as it appears on the surface.

Meanwhile, Yuzu’s schoolmates are shocked to learn about her current living situation and her relationship with Mei. Yuzu’s friend Harumi persuades her to attend a mixer with a group of college students in hopes of finding Yuzu a potential boyfriend. Yuzu reluctantly agrees but has a change of heart when she learns that her crush from her previous school will be in attendance.

As the night progresses, Yuzu’s crush shows interest in her, leading to a romantic encounter. However, Yuzu’s joy is short-lived when she sees Mei at the same venue, holding hands with her new friend. Yuzu’s jealousy rages on, and she confronts Mei about her new friend. Mei reveals that her new friend is actually her former stepsister, Sara, whom she hasn’t seen in years.

The episode concludes with Yuzu and Mei’s relationship at an all-time low. Yuzu must come to terms with her feelings of jealousy and insecurity, while Mei must learn to open up and trust her sister.
