Ep 6. Grandma's World Tour

In episode 6 of season 1 of Clash of the Grandmas, titled "Grandma's World Tour," four grandmas from all over the world compete to win $10,000 in prize money. Each grandma brings her unique cultural heritage to the cooking competition, as they are challenged to create dishes inspired by their travels around the globe.

The grandmas get right to work in the first round, where they are tasked with creating a breakfast dish that reflects their favorite destination. One grandma creates an Italian omelet filled with prosciutto and provolone cheese, while another grandma makes a Moroccan-style shakshuka with spicy harissa sauce. The judges are impressed with the range of flavors on display in this round, but after much deliberation, one grandma is sent home.

For round two, the remaining three grandmas must prepare a lunch dish that is inspired by a place they have always wanted to visit. One grandma chooses Japan and makes a sushi-inspired salad with seared ahi tuna and pickled vegetables. Another grandma picks Greece and creates a lamb souvlaki wrap with tzatziki and feta cheese. The judges praise the grandmas for their bold flavor combinations, but ultimately one grandma is eliminated, leaving two to move on to the final round.

In the last round, the remaining two grandmas are given the challenge of creating a dessert that represents a place they have already visited. One grandma draws on her travels to Mexico and makes a tres leches cake with a spicy kick from cayenne pepper. The other grandma takes inspiration from her trip to Paris and makes a classic French tarte tatin with caramelized apples and flaky pastry. The judges have a tough time deciding between the two desserts, as both grandmas have done an excellent job recreating the flavors of their destinations.

In the end, one grandma is named the winner of Clash of the Grandmas and takes home the $10,000 prize. The judges praise her for her creativity, attention to detail, and bold use of flavors from around the world. The episode ends with a touching moment where all of the grandmas come together to celebrate their shared love of cooking and cultural heritage.
