Ep 3. The Darkness in Paradise

Anxious to prove her worth, Clare immediately jumps into action, but not before her team forbids her from engaging the Yoma. They tell her that she is too inexperienced and weak, and they do not want to risk her life or anyone else's. However, Clare insists on fighting the Yoma, and when the group fails to convince her to stand down, they eventually let her join the fight.

The team battles the Yoma and, miraculously, they prevail and capture the creature. But the day is far from over for the team, as they have kidnapped Clare to prove a point. They drag her into a dark and damp cellar, and inside, Clare sees that the town she thought was peaceful is the complete opposite. The people in Raki are conducting experiments on the Yoma and using them for their own evil ways. The team reveals to Clare that they already knew about the sinister deeds happening in Raki and that their mission was not to capture an Awakened Being, but to infiltrate the town and extract its secrets.

Now that Clare has seen the truth behind Raki, the team threatens to kill her if she leaves their organization. They want to make sure that she never speaks of what she has seen. Clare is taken aback by the turn of events, and she realizes that she is trapped in the organization. She decides to make a deal with the group and agrees to stay with them in exchange for their protection.

As the episode concludes, the team heads back into town to continue their mission. Clare is determined to become stronger and prove herself to her Claymore organization so that she can rise up in the ranks and take on the toughest Yoma out there. The episode ends on a cliffhanger, and it leaves the audience wondering what adventures await Clare in her journey to become the most skilled warrior in the Claymore organization.
