Clean House Season 3 Episode 6 The Poe Family
- September 20, 2006
The Poe family, consisting of Lisa, her husband Ed, and their two sons, are in desperate need of help when it comes to cleaning and organizing their home. Lisa is a stay-at-home mom who also runs a business out of her house, and Ed works long hours as a construction worker. With their busy schedules, they have let their home become cluttered and disorganized, and it's affecting their family's quality of life.
The Clean House team, led by host Niecy Nash, arrives to help the Poe family get their home back in order. They take a tour of the home and are immediately struck by the overwhelming amount of clutter. Lisa and Ed are embarrassed by the state of their home, and their sons are noticeably uncomfortable.
The team quickly gets to work, dividing up tasks and assigning each member a specific area to clean and organize. Niecy takes charge of the living room, which is filled with numerous items that don't belong there. She helps Lisa and Ed sort through the clutter, deciding what to keep and what to get rid of.
As they work, they discover that Lisa's business is a major source of clutter in the home. She has boxes and boxes of products and supplies that are taking up valuable space. The team helps her set up a dedicated storage area for her business, which frees up a significant amount of space in the rest of the home.
Meanwhile, designer Mark Brunetz is hard at work transforming the family's master bedroom. Lisa and Ed have never had a proper bed frame, so Mark creates a custom platform bed with built-in storage. He also adds new lighting, bedding, and window treatments to give the room a fresh, modern look.
In the kitchen, yard sale guru Matt Iseman helps the family make some quick cash by selling unwanted items. He sets up a yard sale in their front yard, and the family is amazed at how much money they're able to make by selling items they no longer need.
And finally, organizational expert Linda Koopersmith helps the family get organized once and for all. She sets up a system for the boys' toys and creates designated storage areas for everything in the home. She also gives Lisa and Ed the tools they need to maintain a clutter-free home in the future.
At the end of the episode, the Poe family is thrilled with the transformation of their home. They can't believe the amount of space they have now that the clutter is gone, and they're excited to start their new organized life. With the help of the Clean House team, they have transformed their home into a clean, functional, and beautiful space that they can be proud of.
