The eighth episode of season two of Code Geass bears the title Millions of Miracles. The episode begins with Lelouch and C.C. watching the Britannian army make their way into the Chinese Federation, and despite the fact that they have a strategy in place, the Chinese army falls to the Britannians easily without any resistance. Not only that, but the Chinese military's strongest weapon, the Gefjun Disturber, is easily neutralized, leaving them without any means of defense.

Meanwhile, at the Tokyo Settlement, the Black Knights have concluded their meeting and prepare to leave, but before they do, Nina Einstein enters the room to announce that she has successfully developed a nuclear bomb. She claims that she did it in the hope that it might help her country, but her plan was to test it on the Shinjuku ghetto. This piece of information alarms Lelouch, who orders that the nuclear bomb be hidden, as he is afraid that the Britannians might get their hands on it.

In the midst of all this chaos, Suzaku becomes aware of the fact that Zero is actually Lelouch, and this realization prompts him to question everything he has ever believed in. He calls Lelouch on the phone to confront him, and they have a heated conversation where Lelouch reaffirms his commitment to creating a new world where people can live happily. Suzaku is not persuaded, however, and begins to see Lelouch as a demon who is only interested in power and control.

The one bright spot in the episode is when we see Shirley Fenette, the girl who was once in love with Lelouch, take on a mission to deliver a letter to her father. She is accompanied by Rolo, who uses his Geass to ensure they reach their destination safely. Along the way, they encounter a group of terrorists who are planning to blow up the hotel where Shirley's father is staying. Shirley is able to warn her father in time, thanks to Rolo's power, and they escape safely.

The terrorist leader, who is revealed to be a former associate of Zero's, is understandably angry about the failed operation. However, he is quickly dealt with by Rolo, who kills him before he can cause any more trouble. Shirley, who witnessed the entire thing, is horrified and disgusted by what she has seen, and she tells Rolo that she never wants to see him again.

As the episode comes to a close, we see Lelouch and Suzaku facing off against one another, each with their own vision for the future. Lelouch is determined to bring about a new world order, while Suzaku is committed to fighting for justice and righteousness. As they argue back and forth, it becomes clear that they are both equally passionate about their beliefs, but they are unable to agree on a path forward.

Overall, this is an intense and action-packed episode that sets the stage for the rest of the season. There are many important plot points that are introduced, and we are left wondering what will happen next. With the civil war in the Chinese Federation heating up, the Black Knights holding a nuclear bomb, and Lelouch and Suzaku at odds with one another, it's clear that the coming episodes will be full of surprises and excitement.
