Cold Justice season 4 episode 1, titled "One of Our Own," follows the experienced prosecutor Kelly Siegler and her team of detectives as they head to tiny Harleton, Texas to investigate a tragic case that has haunted the community for years.

On December 29, 1984, a young woman named Cathy Torrez was found brutally murdered inside her own home. She had been beaten, stabbed, and left to die alone. Cathy was well-liked in the area, and her sudden death shook the close-knit community to its core.

Despite an initial investigation, the case quickly went cold. Over 30 years have passed since Cathy's untimely death, and her killer has yet to be brought to justice. But now, Kelly and her team are on the case and determined to find out what really happened to Cathy.

Notably, the victim's sister Rose has been actively working on the case for years, keeping files and leading her own investigation in order to find the killer. She has long believed that someone within the town of Harleton is responsible for Cathy's murder and is eager to help in any way she can.

Through interviews with those closest to Cathy and a thorough investigation of the crime scene, Kelly and her team hope to uncover new evidence that could finally lead to justice for Cathy and closure for her loved ones. They must also attempt to navigate the small-town politics and interpersonal relationships that may have hindered previous investigations, all while keeping in mind that the killer may still be living in Harleton.

As with all episodes of Cold Justice, "One of Our Own" is a gripping true-crime investigation that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats. With the team's years of experience and dogged determination, justice may finally be served for Cathy and her family.
