Becky's on cloud nine thinking Steve has dumped Michelle and soon they'll be a couple. Steve psyches himself up to finish with Michelle but is thwarted yet again when Michelle rushes off saying she's taking Amy to school. Peter's hungover and over-sleeps as a result. Simon tries to get his own breakfast but drops a pint of milk on the kitchen floor. Michelle heads into town to buy herself a new dress and book a restaurant for this evening - she intends to surprise Steve. Becky gets a call from Poppy asking her to cover Michelle's shift in the Rovers. Becky thinks Michelle must be too upset to work and agrees to help out.Becky arrives in the Rovers and is confused when Michelle walks in dressed to kill. Michelle explains she's booked a romantic meal for her and Steve. Becky's devastated as she realises Steve's lied to her and he hasn't dumped Michelle at all. Steve arrives in the pub and is shocked to find Michelle and Becky behind the bar. It's clear Becky's upset as she pushes past him saying she feels sick. Steve goes after her but Becky tells him it's over between them and he should crawl away and die.
