The episode begins with Paula and her friends noticing that some of their things are missing. A few toys, some snacks, and even a pair of shoes have disappeared from their clubhouse. The gang is perplexed because they know they didn't take the items.
As they ponder who could have taken their belongings, Paula suggests that they should investigate by using math. She tells her friends that they will each need to use their math skills to help solve the mystery. Kiki can measure footprints, Billy can count the number of clues found, and Tim can use his addition and subtraction skills to calculate the possible suspects.
With their assigned tasks in mind, the gang begins their investigation. Kiki looks for footprints around the clubhouse and finds some near the entrance. Billy counts the number of clues they find, like candy wrappers and a pencil, and discovers that there are six altogether. Tim starts to calculate the possible suspects by subtracting the number of friends involved from the total of clues found. He comes up with three suspects for the group to investigate.
As they visit each suspect, the gang uses their math skills to eliminate them one by one. They ask each person questions and gather information about where they were at the time of the crime. By using their subtraction skills, Tim can identify which suspect is innocent and which two are still possible suspects.
After more investigation, the group finally discovers who the culprit is and learns a valuable lesson about honesty and taking responsibility for their actions.
Overall, "It Wasn't Me!" teaches kids the importance of math skills in problem-solving while also emphasizing the importance of honesty and responsibility. The episode is engaging and fun, with plenty of opportunities for kids to participate and practice their own math skills.
