He finds a bullet casing near a vent in the ceiling, which seems to suggest that the killer had shot Herr Kühn from above. Heiko knows that this could only mean one thing - the killer was someone who had access to the funeral home's attic.

Heiko continues his investigation by interviewing Frau Friedemann herself, trying to catch her off-guard and hoping that she reveals something incriminating. But as he talks to her, he realizes that he has misjudged her. Frau Friedemann is not the cold-blooded killer he had expected her to be - instead, she is a broken woman who had been manipulated by Herr Kühn.
