He reveals that the bed of nails was specially designed to distribute his weight evenly across the nails, preventing them from puncturing any vital organs or arteries. Furthermore, he points out that the nails only penetrated his skin by mere millimeters, and that his adrenaline helped to alleviate any pain he might have felt.
