Critter Fixers: Country Vets Season 5 Episode 1 That's A Moray!

That's A Moray! is the first episode of the fifth season of Critter Fixers: Country Vets. The episode features the team of Dr. Vernard Hodges and Dr. Terrence Ferguson as they work to save the lives of animals in their small Georgia town.

The episode opens with the vets receiving a call from a worried pet owner who has noticed her dog, a chocolate lab named Bella, acting lethargic and unwilling to eat. Dr. Hodges and Dr. Ferguson suspect that Bella may have ingested something toxic and rush to her owner's home to examine her. They give her an IV and run some tests to try and figure out what is causing her illness. The results come back and reveal that Bella had been poisoned by eating a toad. The vets work quickly to save her life, and fortunately, Bella pulls through.

Next, the team receives a visit from a local farmer who needs their help with one of his cows. The cow, named Betsy, is heavily pregnant and isn't showing any signs of going into labor. Dr. Hodges and Dr. Ferguson conduct a thorough examination and determine that Betsy's calf is in distress and needs to be delivered immediately via cesarean section. The vets perform the surgery successfully, and both Betsy and her calf make a full recovery.

Later on, the team receives a call from a family who has found a moray eel in their backyard pond. The vets are surprised by the call, as moray eels are not typically found in freshwater habitats. They hurry to the family's home to examine the eel, which is clearly in distress. Dr. Hodges and Dr. Ferguson determine that the eel is suffering from a severe infection and suspect that it may have been dumped into the pond by someone who no longer wanted it as a pet.

The vets decide to transport the eel back to their clinic for further examination and treatment. Once there, they administer antibiotics and closely monitor the eel's condition. After several days of intensive care, the eel begins to show signs of improvement, and the vets are eventually able to release it back into the wild.

In addition to the main storylines, the episode also features several smaller cases, including a cat with a mysterious limp and a hamster with a broken leg. Dr. Hodges and Dr. Ferguson work tirelessly to diagnose and treat each animal, showing their dedication to providing the best possible care to their patients.

Throughout the episode, viewers are treated to an inside look at the daily life of the Critter Fixers team.
