Ep 1. Vive le Sabotage

In the debut episode of Cutthroat Kitchen, titled Vive le Sabotage, host Alton Brown sets the stage for a high-stakes cooking competition unlike any other. Four professional chefs are each given $25,000 to bid on and buy items that they can use to sabotage their competitors during the three rounds of cooking challenges that they will face.

In the first round, the chefs must use a blowtorch to cook dishes inspired by French bistro classics, but with a twist: they must do so while wearing ankle shackles that limit their movement and dexterity. To make matters worse, one chef has to endure the added challenge of using a faulty blowtorch that constantly sputters and goes out.

In round two, the chefs are tasked with making gnocchi from scratch, but they face a number of obstacles that threaten to throw them off their game. One chef must use a golf club to smash the potatoes for their gnocchi, while another is forced to cook with an oversized rolling pin that makes it difficult to control the dough.

Finally, in round three, the remaining two chefs duke it out to create a decadent dessert in just 30 minutes. But with only a few ingredients at their disposal, they must get creative in order to impress the judges and emerge victorious.

Throughout the show, Alton Brown adds to the drama by throwing in surprise challenges and obstacles that threaten to derail the contestants, and the chefs themselves get in on the action by buying up sabotages that they can use to gain an edge over their rivals.

In the end, only one chef emerges victorious, having bested their competitors despite the many hurdles that they faced along the way. But with so many twists and turns throughout the competition, viewers are left on the edge of their seats, wondering who will emerge as the ultimate Cutthroat Kitchen champion.
