In this competition series, a group of chefs face off against one another for a chance to have their own show on the Food Network. As the season progresses, the chefs compete in a series of cooking challenges, with their work being judged by a panel of judges made up of Food Network celebrities.

  • The pilots are in and Giada De Laurentiis and Bobby Flay determine the fates of the final three finalists. Watch what happens behind the scenes and find out who will join the Food Network family and become aFood Network Star!

  • The final three finalists become four again, when a previously eliminated competitor re-enters the competition having won Star Salvation on With the help of eliminated finalists to serve as sous chefs, the final four must cook for their lives to determine which three will get a chance to shoot their own pilot. Former Food Network Star winners Tregaye Fraser and Jason Smith help determine which three finalists will move on to shoot pilots directed by Food Network's Sunny Anderson, Duff Goldman and Robert Irvine.

  • Now that it's down to the final four, it's time to see if they can handle the rigors of live television. Each finalist must make a "share-worthy" dish live on Food Network's Facebook page; but their demo's relatability is put to the test when it turns out that special guest Anne Burrell will be the on-camera talent, performing the livestreams that each finalist prepared. The finalists' job is to produce Anne throughout by giving her guidance through a wireless earpiece. The pressure continues to escalate when the competitors host their own 'in the kitchen' show, while having to impress a special guest who is very familiar with the format - Food Network's very own Ree Drummond! Bobby Flay and Giada De Laurentiis must decide which finalists handle these pressure-packed challenges best for a spot in the final three.

  • In the first challenge the remaining finalists are asked to update their family favorites with a culinary twist, along with having to film an Instagram story to convey the process while they cook. Popular food bloggerMolly Yeh pops in to help Bobby Flay and Giada De Laurentiis decide which competitors shine. The finalists then head to the aquarium to cater a five-course VIP dinner in celebration of the 20th Anniversary of Shark Night. Each course is inspired by an ingredient in a different shark's diet, with the finalists having to impressMan vs. Food's Casey Webb, who helps Bobby Flay and Giada De Laurentiis decide which finalist will be eliminated.

  • With the field narrowed to just six finalists, the group goes Hollywood for their first challenge as they must whip up dishes inspired by characters from the new movie Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation. Special guestFran Drescher, who voices Eunice in the movie, joins Bobby Flay and Giada De Laurentiis at the judging table to see which finalists accomplish their task. Then it's back to business when the finalists are asked to give their take on some new Food Network titles: Ooey Gooey, Cheat Eats and Stacked Snacks. Two finalists each take on a title and are judged head-to-head in an intimidating boardroom setting, led by Bobby and Giada, and guest judges Loni Love and Iron Chef Alex Guarnaschelli. In the end, one finalist's shot at stardom will be finished.

  • The remaining finalists think they're cooking solo at an exclusive private event for foodies and tastemakers. But en route to their destination, Giada De Laurentiis and Bobby Flay call to reveal a twist - they will be cooking and presenting in teams. When the finalists arrive, each team opens the trunk of their vehicle to discover their event theme, ingredients, and d├ęcor. Each team must put on an internationally inspired party and a team demo for the crowd, which includes Bobby, Giada, and guest judge Tyler Florence, with one finalist eliminated at the end of the day.

  • The remaining finalists enter the popular world of podcasting as they team up to create culinary podcasts about colorful snacks. Giada De Laurentiis and Bobby Flay are joined by guest judge Richard Blais to decide whose voices painted the prettiest picture. The finalists are then split up into two teams for field reports from LA's hottest new food hall, as these destination videos are screened and critiqued by Bobby, Giada andFood Network Star alum and co-host of Southern & Hungry, Damaris Phillips, to determine which competitor is eliminated.

  • Eliminated chefs compete against each other in a four-week challenge to see who has what it takes to rejoin the competition.

  • Each competitor gets a summer theme and must livestream for eight minutes, and fellow contestants join each other's streams to ask challenging questions. Valerie Bertinelli and Tyler Florence determine who wins.

  • Giada De Laurentiis and Bobby Flay watch the Food Network pilots for the three finalists; what happens behind the scenes of Food Network Star; finding out who joins the Food Network family and is crowned the newest Food Network star.

  • The three remaining finalists are in for a shock when they learn that a previously eliminated finalist is re-entering the competition. With the help of former finalists, the last four competitors must cook for the privilege of making a pilot. Former winner Eddie Jackson is back to help select the three finalists, who then shoot pilots directed by none other than Guy Fieri.

  • Finalists report live on location by visiting popular food trucks; finalists partake in their own segment of a special called "Up Your Game (Day),'' performing a demo of a special game-day dish while also tackling surprises along the way.

  • The finalists must try their hand at something big; live cooking while streaming on social media; each finalist streams their take on a start-to-finish 15-minute weeknight meal while viewers cook along.

  • Finalists make their best potato dish; Tiffani Thiessen helps Giada De Laurentiis and Bobby Flay judge the finalists' efforts as they each host a summer social gathering for a crowd of people in a park.

  • Finalists take on a typical shopping budget problem while creating an Instagram Story about their shopping trip; finalists perform Sunny Anderson's favorite problem-solving segments from ``The Kitchen'' in front of a studio audience.

  • The remaining finalists are divided into teams and sent into the wilderness. When they arrive at a campsite, they must use whatever camping food is in the back of their cars to create a "glamping" meal. Each team will present their dishes to Giada De Laurentiis, along with guests Melissa d'Arabian and Andrew Zimmern, who will decide which finalist successfully elevated camping food to glamping dishes and gave the best tips for working with wilderness fare.

  • The ten remaining finalists divide into two teams, with each team creating a five-course menu for an experiential restaurant. Diners will experience a completely different environment for each course, such as an appetizer in the jungle and a main course in the desert. Each finalist must also make a video menu describing their dish for the diners, who will select which one they want to taste. Special guest Tyler Florence dines with Giada De Laurentiis and Bobby Flay and helps decide which finalist is sent home.

  • The finalists host a party celebrating Disney's live-action feature Beauty and the Beast. The finalists are divided into three teams, with each team drawing inspiration from one of the iconic rooms of the castle to decorate a serving station and cook up a dish before presenting to a ballroom full of party guests. Special guest Sandra Lee attends the event with Giada De Laurentiis and Bobby Flay to help pick a winning team, then two finalists from the losing team are sent home.

  • Twelve Food Network Star hopefuls arrive at the historic Orpheum Theater in downtown Los Angeles searching of their big break.
