In the fifth episode of season four of Cutthroat Kitchen titled "Welcome to the Jungle," four chefs are pitted against each other in a fierce culinary battle. Host Alton Brown welcomes the contestants to the jungle-themed kitchen and reveals the first challenge: create a dish using only ingredients found in a "survival kit," including canned goods, dried fruits, and nuts.

As the clock ticks down, the chefs scramble to create a dish that will impress the judges while dealing with various sabotages, including being forced to cook without tools or being forced to wear a backpack filled with a heavy weight. One chef manages to impress the judges with a unique take on a canned soup, while another falls victim to a particularly cruel sabotage involving a blender.

For the second round, the remaining chefs must create a dish inspired by a jungle animal. The chefs choose from a variety of exotic meats and produce, but must also contend with sabotages such as having to cook on a tiny grill or being forced to work in tandem with their competitor.

The judges are impressed with the creativity and presentation of many of the dishes, but one chef's meal falls short, resulting in their elimination from the competition.

The final two chefs must create a jungle-inspired dessert using unexpected ingredients such as avocado and plantains. However, the twists keep coming as they are forced to deal with sabotages such as being blindfolded or having to cook while balancing on a wobble board.

In the end, only one chef is crowned the winner of the jungle-themed competition, having proven their culinary skills and ability to adapt to challenging conditions.
