In Cutthroat Kitchen season 6 episode 13 entitled "The Chocolate Factory", four chefs compete for the opportunity to win up to $25,000. As always, the chefs are forced to face off in a series of culinary challenges designed to test their skills in the kitchen while simultaneously sabotaging their competitors. However, this episode takes things up a notch with a focus on one of the world's most beloved delicacies: chocolate.

In round one, the competitors are given $25,000 to shop for ingredients and equipment in a chocolate-themed pantry. However, host Alton Brown throws a wrench in their plans by requiring them to use novelty chocolate items that range from comically oversized chocolate bunnies to a giant chocolate heart that takes up nearly half of a cooking station. Additionally, the contestants must cook their dishes in a miniature chocolate factory, which adds an extra layer of chaos as they battle to secure enough space to properly prepare their meals.

Round two is equally challenging, with the chefs tasked with creating a dish that incorporates both chocolate and molasses. However, sabotage is still in play, and one contestant ends up with a molasses-covered chef's hat that they must wear throughout the remainder of the competition.

The final round brings yet another obstacle as the remaining chefs must create chocolate desserts using only one hand. They are given a choice between a left-handed and right-handed utensil set, meaning that two of the chefs are at a disadvantage from the start. To make things even more difficult, the chefs are required to wear oversized chef jackets that are fastened at the wrists, forcing them to maneuver their way through the kitchen with limited mobility.

Throughout the episode, the contestants face a variety of other sabotages, including a mandatory chocolate tasting that could eat up valuable cooking time and a knife trade that sees one chef handing over their sharp blade for a plastic butter knife. As always, Alton Brown offers up humorous commentary and serves as a constant thorn in the side of the chefs, gleefully throwing obstacles in their way and offering up pointed critiques of their dishes.

While the challenges are certainly difficult, the chefs prove to be up to the task, creating a wide range of delicious and creative chocolate dishes that showcase their skills and expertise. From a decadent flourless chocolate cake to a savory chocolate mole sauce, the contestants pull out all the stops in their efforts to win the grand prize.

Overall, "The Chocolate Factory" is another exciting and entertaining addition to the Cutthroat Kitchen canon. With high stakes challenges, creative sabotages, and a focus on one of the world's most popular indulgences, it's a must-watch for any fans of cooking competitions.
