In season 6 episode 7 of Cutthroat Kitchen, titled "The Cone Ranger," four chefs are put to the test in a series of challenging cooking competitions. Host Alton Brown introduces the show's unique twist: each chef will be given $25,000 at the start of the game, but will have to bid on sabotages to impede their fellow competitors throughout the challenges.
In the first round, the chefs must create a dish using only ingredients that fit inside a small plastic cone. Additionally, they must navigate challenges such as cooking on a miniature stove or facing unusual ingredient restrictions. The bidding for sabotages heats up as the chefs attempt to throw each other off their game.
Finally, the remaining two chefs face off in the dreaded final round, in which they must create a dish using only the ingredients they've won throughout the game. To make things even more challenging, one chef is tasked with using a cookbook written in a foreign language, while the other must deal with being blindfolded. As they struggle to create their perfect dish, they must also fend off sabotages such as being only allowed to cook with one hand or having their workspace drastically reduced.
In the end, the winning chef walks away with whatever remains of their initial $25,000, while the other competitors leave with nothing. With tense moments, strategic bidding, and culinary creativity at its finest, "The Cone Ranger" is a thrilling episode of Cutthroat Kitchen that will leave viewers on the edge of their seats.
