"Deadtime Stories" is a horror adventure anthology. The stand alone stories are tied together by the premise of a goth but cute and affectionate babysitter, Jennifer Stone, reading stories from the book of the same name to the children under her care. The tales include thing such as ghosts, zombies, and enchanted objects. One episode the story is set with a young boy visiting his cousins. The young boys have a great time playing with their model train set and its figurines. When extraordinary things start to happen, the blame falls on the boys. The preteen protagonists try, and fail, to convince the adults that the toys are behind the mischief. At this point the babysitter's wards chime in with their prediction for the outcome of the tale. So, determined not to give up, the kids are forced to face their fears. The cousins confront the living toys and try to defend their family on their own. Despite, the spooky over tones of the show the content remains age appropriate.
