Ep 5. The Serpent's Egg

However, in her search, Kenya discovers that the virus is actually of alien origin, and that it was deliberately released in order to manipulate the power dynamics between the different races in Defiance.

As tensions boil over and violence erupts between the humans and the alien races, Kenya and her allies must race against the clock to stop the spread of the virus and uncover the conspiracy behind its release. Along the way, they must confront their own prejudices and biases, as well as the difficult choices that come with navigating a divided and dangerous world.

Featuring complex characters, intricate world-building, and thrilling action, "The Serpent's Egg" is a standout episode of Defiance that showcases the series' blend of science fiction, Western, and political drama.
