Ep 4. History Rhymes

In the fourth episode of the third season of Defiance titled "History Rhymes," tensions rise as the Omec return to Defiance. The episode opens with Mayor Pottinger and Amanda Rosewater discussing the Omec's arrival. Pottinger is skeptical of their intentions and believes they pose a threat, while Amanda believes they could be powerful allies.

Several people express their fear and unease about the Omec's reputation as ruthless and savage predators. Stahma Tarr, however, sees an opportunity for profit and brokers a deal with the Omec leader, T'evgin, to obtain a rare and valuable substance called cortium.

While Stahma and T'evgin conduct their business, datak Tarr struggles to find his place in the new order. With his wife and son both taking on new roles, Datak feels left behind and ultimately resorts to scheming in order to regain his standing. He begins to work with Elah Bandik, the bounty hunter after Nolan, in an effort to take down the Omec and create chaos in Defiance.

As tensions escalate between the various factions in Defiance, new alliances are formed and old relationships are tested. Irisa struggles with her role in the town and her connection to the spirit realm, while Amanda tries to navigate her way through the political landscape. Ultimately, everyone in Defiance will be forced to choose sides and decide where their loyalties lie.

In "History Rhymes," the stakes are higher than ever as Defiance faces threats from all sides. With the Omec in town and various factions vying for power, the future of the settlement hangs in the balance. This episode sets the stage for the rest of the season, as the various plots and subplots come to a head and the fate of Defiance is decided.
