Endnu engang involverer Dicte sig i efterforskningen, der denne gang giver hende indblik i Roses nye arbejdsplads, og d?t g?r hende urolig. The Police has come to the lake where Benedicte found the body of Tina M?lgaard. Everything points to Tina M?lgaard's husband as the perpetrator, and Benedicte now has a murder story in hands and wants her old job back. Stay tune of Johan's wife that require answers to what happened that night, they fled, and Johan died, and it does stay very uneasy. Benedicte seeks out the priest in Tina M?lgaard's village, and themes such as jealousy and pedophilia gets suddenly force in the investigation of the case.

Benedicte is contacted by a little girl who says that Wagner has promised to help her find her missing mother. It turns out that the case of the girl's mother was investigated confidentially and Benedicte seeks out why Nina, who quickly sees chance to resolve the case with Ms, and thereby come back as a murder investigator with the police. However, everything indicates that the little girl's mother has bolted, but Wagner's clues are not pointing in the same direction. On the home front is no longer the same between Ms and Bo as Bos experiences in Lebanon have taken control of their relationship.
