Dinner Club Season 1 Episode 1 Po Delta

The longest river in Italy will be their destination and a boat will be their means of transportation. Carlo Cracco and Fabio De Luigi will navigate among the flavors of one of the most mysterious and perhaps least common places for a trip together, the Po River. Carlo will immediately put himself to the test driving the barge, fishing under the watchful eye of Fabio and an Austrian fisherman, with results different from those hoped for. After resuming their journey, they will reach a small rowing club in Felonica that will give them their first idea for the Dinner Club dinner, a recipe based on onions that will conquer some diners but will leave others doubtful. But it's not just the club members who will be left with doubts! Even Fabio and Carlo, after having fought to buy the best eels at an auction, will have to face a dilemma: How are eels born? Perhaps without an answer, they will resume their navigation that will lead them to taste a typical Ferrara sausage and one of the favorite mollusks of gourmets, the oyster. They'll cross the canals of the area with the highest biodiversity in Italy and discover themselves as expert birdwatchers. But here Carlo's culinary deformation will frighten Fabio and even the wildlife. Knot after knot they will reach Venice, which will give Fabio the unique opportunity to cook together with starred chef Chiara Pavan. Having reached the apex of the culinary experience, a regal but uncrowned meeting will close their journey. Fabio, hesitant about Carlo's choices, once back home will change his mind and discover that the Po River can offer a lot to those who travel on it. However, it will be with his passion for cooking, which will not go unnoticed, that Fabio will have to convince the other members of the Dinner Club. With aphrodisiac products and a first course worth waiting for, will he be able to conquer their palates?
