DIY Crafts

The Do it Yourself, or DIY, Network revolves all of their shows around home improvement projects that anyone can do themselves. The scope of these projects range from major housing renovations to simple craft projects. DIY Crafts focuses on smaller around the house crafts that are easy to make and don't require much, if any, previous experience in craft building.

The projects on the show range in skill level and time it will take to complete. Some episodes feature simple items such as making new puppets for a children's school. Others take on larger and more complicated tasks such as making holders for things out of molding clay or using copper and other products to make home art.

One of the key features of the show though, is the inexpensive aspect of the projects. They focus on activities that aren't going to break the bank for people to do at home. And even for the more complicated projects, if it takes a try or two to get it perfect, it's not going to bankrupt someone on supplies or time. A lot of the crafts made on the show involve just minor purchases and most of the time focus on using and repurposing items that are already laying around the house. Certain episodes are centered on people finding certain things that everyone has laying around their house and finding a colorful new way to repurpose that item as a new toy or home art display.

DIY Crafts is not a show that requires a background in art, construction or design to follow along. It is designed for the everyday person to be able to pick up at any point of the show and start crafting along with the hosts. This show is not going to make the viewer into a home renovator or master artist, it focuses on repurposing simple items and easy to make home decorations.
