The Doctor and his companion Adric continue their adventure on Traken, a garden planet ruled by the benevolent Keeper. However, it isn't long before they discover an evil presence at the heart of Traken's power. The Keeper is dying, and his successor must be chosen to maintain the delicate balance of the universe. But when the Doctor uncovers a conspiracy to usurp the Keeper's power, he must race against time to stop the malevolent forces at work.
