Dolly & Friends season 3 episode 17, titled "Polly's Soap Bubbles," tells the story of a young bird named Polly who becomes enamored with soap bubbles. As she plays with them, she discovers how much joy they bring her and wants to share this joy with her friends.
However, not all of Polly's friends share her enthusiasm for soap bubbles. Some are too busy with their own activities to take notice, while others are hesitant to try something new. Polly is disappointed, but she doesn't give up. She continues to blow soap bubbles and eventually convinces her friends to join in the fun.
As the group plays with the soap bubbles, they discover all sorts of different games and activities they can do with them. They make bubble sculptures, play tag with the bubbles, and even try to see who can blow the biggest bubble. Everyone is having a great time, but then disaster strikes.
One of the bubbles pops near a butterfly, scaring her and causing her to fly away. Polly feels terrible and wants to apologize to the butterfly, but she can't find her. She decides to make it up to her by doing something special. With the help of her friends, Polly creates a beautiful soap bubble castle and leaves a note inviting the butterfly to come and see it.
The next day, the butterfly returns and is amazed by the soap bubble castle. She tells Polly how sorry she is for running away and how much she appreciates the kindness shown to her. Polly is thrilled to have made a new friend and realizes that sometimes it takes a little extra effort to make someone feel welcome.
The episode ends with Polly and her friends continuing to play with soap bubbles, but now they have an even greater appreciation for the joy and friendship they can bring.
