In Dorohedoro season 1 episode 3, titled "A Nighttime Visitor," the city of Hole gets ready for the festival as everyone is excited to attend it. Nikaido is seen getting ready while Kaiman goes out to look for more information about his true identity and the sorcerer who cursed him.
Meanwhile, En's mansion is shown where Shin is seen going through En's documents, trying to understand his boss's latest plan. En makes a sudden appearance and Shin tries to hide the documents from him but fails in doing so. En does not press the matter further and instead asks Shin to follow him.
Back in Hole, the festival starts, and Nikaido meets a mysterious woman called Turkey. She is interested in having a partner for the night, but Nikaido declines her offer. Meanwhile, Kaiman bumps into a sorcerer and recognizes him from a vision he had earlier. The sorcerer tries to attack Kaiman, but the latter's quick reflexes prove too much for him.
Soon after, Kaiman is approached by Noi, a sorcerer who is searching for the person responsible for attacking Kaiman's friend. She offers to help Kaiman find his true identity if he agrees to work with her. Kaiman agrees, and Noi takes him to the sorcerer's headquarters.
In En's mansion, Shin and En meet a group of sorcerers who are interested in working with En in order to gain more power. En agrees to work with them, but he has a hidden agenda of his own.
Meanwhile, Kaiman is taken to the sorcerers' headquarters, where he meets the boss, En, who is revealed to be a devil. En explains to Kaiman that he knows everything about him and his past. He offers to restore Kaiman's memories, but in exchange, Kaiman must find and kill the sorcerer responsible for cursing him.
The episode ends with Nikaido still at the festival, enjoying herself despite being alone. Kaiman, on the other hand, is shown left in disbelief and contemplating En's offer.
