Ep 4. Requiem for a Reality Show

In the fourth episode of Drawn Together's first season, titled "Requiem for a Reality Show," the cartoon housemates find themselves facing a major crisis when they receive word that their show has been cancelled.

The episode opens with the characters lounging in the hot tub, discussing their various reality TV experiences and how their show is nothing like the others. However, things take a dark turn when a deliveryman shows up with a letter revealing that the network has decided to pull the plug on Drawn Together due to low ratings.

Each character reacts differently to the news. Ling-Ling, the anime-inspired creature, takes it the hardest, shredding the cancellation letter and going into a fury. Spanky Ham, the adult-themed pig, sees it as an opportunity to cash in on his own reality show, while Captain Hero, the superhero parody, tries to block out the news by masturbating in the confessional booth.

The rest of the episode revolves around the housemates' attempts to save the show by increasing its popularity. They come up with a variety of schemes, from creating fake drama to introducing a new character (a bunny named "Bun-Bun"), but nothing seems to work.

Meanwhile, Ling-Ling takes matters into his own hands and creates his own reality show, "Ling-Ling's House of Friends." He recruits a group of other creatures to live in the Drawn Together house and compete in challenges for his amusement. However, things quickly spiral out of control and Ling-Ling realizes that creating a reality show is harder than he thought.

Ultimately, the episode ends on a bittersweet note as the housemates come to terms with the cancellation of their show. They sing a touching musical number about their time together, and even though they never achieved the fame and success they were hoping for, they know that they will always have each other.
