Ep 21. Traffic School

Raymond and Debra get pulled over for speeding on their way home from a romantic weekend away in a bed and breakfast. Raymond tries to talk his way out of the ticket, but he and Debra end up having to attend traffic school instead.

At the traffic school, Raymond and Debra sit in a class full of characters, including a tough-looking biker and an elderly woman who can barely see. While the instructor drones on about the importance of driving safely, Raymond and Debra struggle to stay awake.

Meanwhile, Robert volunteers to take care of the kids while Frank and Marie are out of town. However, he quickly realizes how difficult it is to manage Ally, Michael, and Geoffrey all at once. The kids are rowdy and refuse to listen to him, and Robert is at a loss for how to control them.

Back at traffic school, Raymond tries to impress the attractive female instructor by making jokes, but it backfires when she calls on him to answer a question and he has no idea what she's talking about. Debra, on the other hand, is taking the class seriously and takes notes, much to Raymond's annoyance.

After an excruciating day at traffic school, Raymond and Debra finally get to leave. But as they drive away, they realize they missed a crucial piece of information that was covered in the class. They frantically try to remember what it was, but eventually give up and hope for the best.

When they get home, they find Robert frazzled and exhausted from taking care of the kids. They offer to help, but Robert insists he's got it under control. As soon as they leave, though, all three kids start misbehaving again, and Robert is at his wit's end.

The episode ends with Raymond and Debra driving back to traffic school to try and figure out what they missed. As they walk into the classroom, they realize it's much emptier than it was earlier in the day. It turns out they accidentally went to the wrong location and missed the rest of the class. They leave in frustration, resigned to paying the ticket and hoping for a better experience next time.
