Ep 5. Halloween Candy

When the Halloween season rolls around, things start feeling spooky in the Barone household. In season 3 episode 5 of Everybody Loves Raymond, titled "Halloween Candy," Ray and Debra get into an argument about whether or not they should subject their children to the horrors of horror movies on Halloween night.

With Ray keen on scaring the kids with movies like "The Exorcist," Debra takes issue with him, suggesting that they stick to lighter fare like "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown." He's eaten every piece of candy in the bag, including one of the homemade fudge bars that Marie was saving for Frank's cardiologist. Suddenly, the night takes a turn as the family is faced with the conundrum of whether or not to come clean to Marie about what happened to her prized fudge.

As the episode unfolds, Ray and Debra try to juggle their secret while enjoying Halloween candy with their kids and keeping up appearances. The storyline takes several twists and turns, ultimately leading to a resolution that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats.
