Ep 17. Hackidu

In Everybody Loves Raymond season 4 episode 17 titled "Hackidu," Ray and Robert decide to relive their childhood by playing with their old Hackidu cards. However, when Debra accidentally tosses out one of Ray's valuable cards, the brothers go on a search to find a replacement before the big tournament they plan to attend.

Their search leads them to a comic book shop where they meet a knowledgeable man named Ryoner who offers to sell them a rare card for $500. Ray and Robert decide to split the cost, but their wives are less than thrilled about their spending habits.

Meanwhile, Frank and Marie are struggling with their own issues when they discover Frank has been sleepwalking and stealing food from the kitchen at night. Marie is concerned that Frank's sleepwalking may lead to more dangerous behavior and seeks advice from Dr. Tuttle, who suggests they try to discover the root cause of Frank's sleepwalking.

Back at the comic book store, Ray and Robert are ecstatic to have scored the rare card until they realize they accidentally left behind a bag with their other expensive cards in the store. They return to the store, but Ryoner denies having the bag and claims he hasn't seen them.

Determined to retrieve their cards, Ray and Robert sneak into the comic book store after hours and discover Ryoner playing a game with their cards. The brothers confront Ryoner, who reveals that he is actually a top-ranked Hackidu player and offers to teach them how to master the game in exchange for their valuable cards.

As Frank's sleepwalking continues, Marie becomes increasingly worried and enlists Robert to secretly follow Frank to see what he is doing at night. They discover that Frank has been sleepwalking to a restaurant where he used to work and has been making himself a sandwich every night. Frank reveals that he misses the camaraderie and sense of purpose he had when he worked there and is feeling lost in his retirement.

With the tournament approaching, Ray and Robert have learned the game inside and out with Ryoner's help and are feeling confident. However, when they arrive at the tournament, they discover that all the players are children, leaving Ray and Robert feeling embarrassed and out of place. Despite their initial reservations, they decide to participate and end up having a blast playing with the kids and sharing their love of the game.

In the end, Frank and Marie come to a mutual understanding about Frank's sleepwalking and he agrees to find a new hobby to fulfill his sense of purpose. Ray and Robert may not have won the tournament, but they gained a newfound appreciation for their childhood memories and the joy that comes from playing games with loved ones.
