Ep 21. Someone's Cranky

In the season 4 episode 21 of Everybody Loves Raymond, titled Someone's Cranky, things are getting a little tense in the Barone household. Debra and Ray are trying to get their twins, Michael and Geoffrey, to sleep, but all they're doing is crying. Ray is stressed out from work and Debra isn't feeling appreciated for all the hard work she does at home.

The next day, Ray goes to work and finds out his boss is retiring and he's in the running for the job. He's excited about the opportunity, but he knows he has to impress the new boss who's coming in to interview everyone. The problem is, Ray's new boss is someone he used to bully in high school. This throws Ray off his game and he starts to stress out even more.

Meanwhile, Debra is still feeling unappreciated and decides to take a break from all the housework. She spends the day relaxing and doing things she enjoys, but when Ray comes home and sees the house a mess, he freaks out. Debra tries to explain that she needed a break, but Ray doesn't understand and they end up having a big argument.

To make things worse, Geoffrey gets sick and they have to take him to the pediatrician. The doctor diagnoses him with an ear infection and says that Michael might have one too. Ray and Debra are stressed out and exhausted, but they try to stay calm and take care of their kids.

Later that night, Ray is trying to come up with a plan to impress his new boss. He decides to take him to Nemo's, a restaurant that he used to love as a kid. But when they get there, the restaurant has changed and it's not as good as Ray remembers it. His boss is unimpressed and Ray feels like a failure.

Back at home, Debra is still feeling unappreciated and decides to go out with her friends. She comes back home late and Ray gets upset with her, but she tells him that she needed some time for herself. They both realize that they need to communicate better and appreciate each other more.

The episode ends with Ray apologizing to Debra and telling her that he loves her. They both agree to work on their relationship and appreciate each other more. Overall, Someone's Cranky is a relatable episode that shows the ups and downs of marriage and parenthood.
