Ep 11. Christmas Present

Raymond Barone is a sports writer living in suburban Long Island with his wife Debra and their three children. In the Christmas Present episode of season 5, the Barones gear up for the holiday season with a wide range of plans, from decorating the tree to choosing the perfect gifts for one another. Each family member is tasked with picking presents for another family member, leading to all sorts of hijinks and misunderstandings.

Debra decides to take a more traditional approach to the holidays this year, determined to create the perfect Christmas for her family. She comes up with the brilliant idea of setting up a family portrait, hiring a professional photographer to take the picture, and ensuring everyone is dressed up and looking their best. However, while Debra is on a mission to make sure everything is perfect, things start to go awry when Raymond and his father Frank refuse to wear the matching sweaters that she bought for the occasion.

Meanwhile, Marie, Raymond's mother, struggles to come up with a meaningful gift for Debra, and ends up giving her a gift that's confusing at best. Robert, Raymond's brother, is so desperate for a great present for his girlfriend Amy that he resorts to buying her the same present he gave her last year - in the hopes that she won't remember.

As the family gets ready for the big day, they realize that they may be missing one crucial element of the holidays: snow. With the weatherman predicting unseasonably warm weather, it seems that a white Christmas may not be in the cards this year. However, the family refuses to let the lack of snow dampen their spirits, and they continue to spread holiday cheer in any way they can.

Despite all of these mishaps, the Barones come together to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas: family. As the episode progresses, they realize that it doesn't matter what presents they give or how they spend their time - as long as they're together, that's all that matters. The episode ends with the family gathered together, making memories that will last well beyond the holiday season.
