In Everybody Loves Raymond season 6 episode 19, titled "Talk to Your Daughter," the Barone family is dealing with the aftermath of Debra's decision to give Ally "the talk" about sex. Debra is feeling pleased with herself for having tackled this important issue with her daughter, but Ray is feeling left out and not sure how to handle the situation.

The episode opens with Ray and Debra discussing the events of the day before, when Debra gave Ally "the talk" in the car while driving her to a birthday party. Ray is feeling left out and left behind, as he didn't get to participate in this important milestone in his daughter's life. Debra is feeling proud of herself for taking charge and handling this delicate issue, but Ray is feeling insecure and unsure of his role as a parent.

As the episode progresses, we see Ray trying to connect with Ally on his own terms, but he's not quite sure how to go about it. He tells her a few awkward stories about his own adolescence, but she's not really interested. He even tries to trick her into revealing whether or not she's sexually active yet, but she sees right through his ploy and shuts him down.

Meanwhile, Debra is feeling frustrated with Ray for getting in the way of her parenting style. She feels like he's constantly undermining her authority and trying to be the "cool dad" instead of supporting her in their shared responsibilities as parents. When Ray suggests that they take Ally out for a talk over dinner, Debra is hesitant at first, but eventually agrees.

At dinner, things don't quite go as planned. Ally is more interested in her chicken fingers than in talking about sex, and Ray keeps bringing up embarrassing stories from his own childhood that make Ally uncomfortable. Debra, on the other hand, is getting increasingly annoyed by Ray's behavior and is starting to feel like he's not taking their parenting responsibilities seriously enough.

Eventually, things come to a boiling point when Debra confronts Ray about his behavior in front of Ally. She accuses him of not taking their parenting responsibilities seriously and of constantly trying to be the "fun dad" instead of being the responsible one. Ray is hurt by her accusations, but also realizes that she has a point.

In the end, the episode ends on a positive note as Ray and Debra reach a compromise. Ray agrees to take their parenting responsibilities more seriously and to be more supportive of Debra's parenting style, while also finding ways to connect with Ally on his own terms. Debra agrees to be more open to Ray's ideas and to recognize the importance of having both parents involved in parenting decisions. And Ally, well, she's just glad that the awkward dinner conversation is over.

Overall, "Talk to Your Daughter" is a funny and relatable episode that touches on the challenges of parenting and communication within families. It shows the importance of open and honest communication between parents and children, as well as between spouses. It also highlights the different parenting styles that can exist within families, and the importance of finding a balance that works for everyone. Fans of Everybody Loves Raymond are sure to enjoy this episode, which is both heartwarming and hilarious in equal measure.
