Ray and Debra are still feuding with Marie and Frank about living next door to each other. Ray and Debra have agreed to be the bigger people and apologize to Marie and Frank. However, Marie and Frank are still upset with Ray and Debra for buying the house next to theirs and keeping them in the dark. Meanwhile, Robert and Amy are trying to get pregnant but are having trouble. They try every trick in the book but nothing seems to be working. Robert is upset and begins to feel like a failure. However, Amy reassures him that they will get through this together.
Ray and Debra try to make amends with Marie and Frank by inviting them over for dinner. However, the tension is still there and they end up arguing again. Ray and Debra storm out of their own house, feeling frustrated and defeated. Later, they try to make up with Marie and Frank again by throwing a party for them. However, their efforts backfire and they end up arguing once again.
Meanwhile, Robert and Amy go to see a fertility specialist to try and figure out why they are having trouble conceiving. The specialist runs some tests and tells them that it could be due to a number of factors including stress, age, and diet. Robert and Amy are relieved to find out that there is nothing seriously wrong but they still feel discouraged.
As the episode progresses, Ray and Debra continue to try and make amends with Marie and Frank. They eventually come up with a plan to surprise them by turning their backyard into a mini-golf course. Marie and Frank are initially hesitant but eventually come around and begin to have fun. Ray and Debra are pleased with their success and feel like they have finally made amends with Marie and Frank.
At the end of the episode, Robert and Amy find out that they are pregnant. They are overjoyed and can't wait to start their family. Ray and Debra are also happy for them and feel like they have turned a new leaf with Marie and Frank. The episode ends with the families enjoying each other's company and looking forward to the future.
