First Dates is back with a brand new series, and it's as heartwarming and cringeworthy as ever! In the first episode of season 7, we meet a whole host of new daters who are all hoping to find love. Each couple is set up by the First Dates team, who carefully select their matches based on their compatibility and shared interests.

The first couple we meet are 22-year-old student Harrison and 25-year-old marketing assistant Lauren. Harrison is nervous and admits that he's never been on a date before, while Lauren is more confident but still feels a little apprehensive. They hit it off straight away, bonding over their shared love of pizza and their ambitions for the future. However, things take a turn when Harrison reveals that he has Crohn's Disease, a chronic illness that affects his digestive system. Lauren is sympathetic and understanding, but worries about what this could mean for their potential future together.

Next up we have 29-year-old Hiba, who is looking for a man who shares her values and beliefs. She's set up with 31-year-old fitness instructor Matt, who is admittedly nervous about meeting someone who is "into politics and stuff". Despite their differences, the two hit it off and bond over their shared love of working out. However, the conversation takes a more serious turn when Hiba reveals that she lost her father recently. Matt is sympathetic and supportive, and the two share a touching moment of connection.

The third couple we meet are 29-year-old personal trainer Ross and 26-year-old estate agent Emily. Ross is immediately smitten with Emily, admiring her sense of style and infectious laugh. Emily is a little more reserved, but is charmed by Ross's enthusiasm and quirky personality. The two bond over their shared love of travel and adventure, and seem to be a perfect match. However, things take a surprising turn when Ross reveals that he's a born-again Christian and is saving himself for marriage. Emily is taken aback, but handles the situation with grace and maturity, and the two end the date on a positive note.

The final couple we meet are 28-year-old artist Olivia and 30-year-old business analyst Bradley. Olivia is immediately attracted to Bradley's sharp dress sense and confident demeanor, while Bradley admires Olivia's creativity and free spirit. The two seem to hit it off, and the conversation flows easily as they discuss their respective careers and hobbies. However, the date takes a turn when Bradley reveals that he's been married before and has a young daughter. Olivia is hesitant, but ultimately decides to give Bradley a chance and goes on a second date with him.

Throughout the episode, we also get to see snippets of the other daters in the restaurant, as they chat with each other and offer their thoughts and opinions on each other's dates. It's clear that everyone is there for the same reason - to find love - and there's a real sense of camaraderie and support in the air.

Overall, the first episode of season 7 of First Dates is a heartwarming and entertaining affair. We get to meet a diverse range of daters, each with their own unique personalities and quirks. While not every date is a success, there are plenty of moments of connection and romance to keep us invested. Whether you're single or in a relationship, this show is sure to tug at your heartstrings and leave you feeling warm and fuzzy inside.
