Supersize Vs Superskinny is a type of British cultured television series program that features a lot of information about how people diet and the extreme eating measures and habits that they go through. It seems as if the world has gone diet mad and this show gives a radical look about the characteristics of dieting, whether it happens to be faddy foods, slimming products, diet surgery, and other weight loss regimes. Along side every new celebrity diet launch, the public is continuously bombarded with confusing food scares and health dangers of being super slim or super obese. One of the main show features is a weekly comparison of the eating habits of a overweight person and a underweight person and how it affects their body. During their comparison, the two are brought to a food clinic where they live together for five days, and then swap diets that are supervised by Dr. Christian Jessen. The purpose of this comparison and diet swap is to prove that both the eaters have a dysfunctional relationship with food, whether they are under eating their food or eating too much of it, since both is unhealthy no matter what you eat. Another feature is when the show brings forth journalist Anna Richardson, who examines new methods of weight loss by trying out diets that she finds by researching them on the internet, even though some of these diets have extremely shocking side effects that may be bad instead of doing her body good. For example, Anna attempted Laser lipolysis, which went horribly wrong for her in the end, and resulted in her having severe bruising to her body. One feature involved Gillian McKeith, who tried to find a way to "ban big bums" within the United Kingdom, she tested out different exercises to tone bums on several different groups of women and their body types, and made a leader board for the most effective exercise. When the show switches up the features, there is a possibility of comparing between two overweight people instead of the overweight verse the underweight or the possibility of comparing two underweight people instead of the overweight verse the underweight person. This show is good for people who like to challenge themselves and who want to see the result of people who struggle with the same problems as a lot of people like them.
