Friday: The Animated Series also has appearances from some of the other characters from the movie in the series such as Deebo, the neighborhood bully that Craig fights. The animated series has the two foes on good terms and in the fourth episode is one where Craig and his father decide to volunteer for the local big brother program and are stuck with mentoring Deebo and Smokey. Episode 5 of Friday: The Animated Series was one that seen Craig getting involved with former United States Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice and sees Rice come to the hood to get away from the pressures of her job. Episode 7 is one that has a historical tone to it as Craig's father is intent on teaching Craig and Smokey things about black history that they did not have any knowledge of. Friday: The Animated Series was produced by Ice Cube and in 2009 was released on DVD by Image Entertainment.
