Ray is originally on his own, until he catches the eye of seasoned mob boss Manny Weisbord (played by Joseph Wiseman). Manny hires Ray to head to Las Vegas, NV to watch over his casinos. Manny can't communicate directly with Ray, due to his fear of being arrested, so he has his second in command Max Goldman (played by Andrew Dice Clay) direct Ray in his notorious deeds.
Crime Story is a gritty crime drama that delves in to the not so pretty side of the mafia and the complicated lives of the officers who tried to stop the spread of mob related crimes.
