Ep 9. Be Thou for the People

Edward and Alphonse arrive at Liore, a small town home to a large religious following worshipping a deity named Leto, which has in turn made the town prosperous under the guidance of a charismatic priest named Cornello. Under the guise of investigating their lead on the Philosopher's Stone, the Elric brothers begin to snoop around the town, only to stumble upon a darker truth: Cornello is a fraud, using a Philosopher's Stone himself to perform miracles to manipulate the townspeople into thinking he is a god. As they investigate further, the brothers team up with a street urchin named Rose, who had previously been manipulated by Cornello, in an attempt to stop the priest before he can enact his ultimate plan: summoning a being from beyond the gate using the stone's power.
