Ep 2. Pest Control

Ray Romano stars in Get Shorty season 2 episode 2 titled Pest Control, as Rick, a questionable producer, who gets embroiled in a sticky situation with his partner and Miles, the main character.

In order to keep his business running, Miles needs to secure a drug supply. For this, he needs to approach an eccentric character called Simon, who is a master in pest control. Simon has a unique way of eliminating rats from houses, and Miles believes that he can help him to locate his drug supply as well.

Miles, Rick and Yago pay a visit to Simon, who seems to be fascinated with Rick's new car. After a conversation about Rick's car and how he bought it, Miles finally opens up about his business needs. Simon agrees to help them but demands an unwavering loyalty, and if they betray him, he will hunt them down and kill them. Miles, Rick and Yago agree to Simon's condition, which makes the scene absurdly unique and intriguing.

Meanwhile, Amara, who is Miles' boss and lover, is trying to track down Miles. With her right-hand man Louis and daughter Eva, she begins to probe into Miles' whereabouts, in a bid to ensure that Miles continues to work for her and not go into business alone.

In a surprising twist, Rick offers to help Amara locate Miles, in a bid to save his own skin. However, he secretly believes that Miles is the key to breaking into the film industry, and he wants to use him for his own selfish interests.

The episode is full of surprises, with each character going through a personal and professional struggle. The way the characters interact with each other is unique and intriguing. Each one has their own unique personalities, which makes the show more interesting to watch.
