Ep 8. Memories / Spiral / Moonlight

As the girls continue their journey through the barren wasteland, they come across remnants of a civilization long gone. With nothing but their rifles to protect them, Yuuri and Chito press on towards what seems to be a spiral tower. After climbing to the top, they gaze upon the ruins of a once-great city, now barely standing and overgrown with vines.

The girls make their way through the ruins, with Yuuri reminiscing about the days when the city was alive with people. They visit a museum and are fascinated by the artifacts left behind, including a real-life piano. Yuuri, who has always had a passion for music, takes the opportunity to play a few notes on the piano, and Chito captures the moment on her camera.

As the sun sets, the girls stumble upon a massive crater, and they marvel at the size of the impact. There, they encounter a mysterious figure: a pilot, who has crash-landed in the wasteland. The pilot is surprised to see the girls and asks if they're lost, but they reassure her that they're just traveling. The pilot warns them to be careful and offers them some food before they part ways.

As the girls resume their journey, they start to feel the wear and tear of their long journey. Yuuri expresses her worries about their future and what they'll do once they find the end of the world. Chito tries to cheer her up, reminding her of all the wonderful memories they've made together, like playing music in the abandoned museum. The girls realize that even though the end of the world may be near, they'll always have each other and the memories they've shared.

The episode ends with the girls stopping in a vast, open field and witnessing a beautiful moonrise. Both girls stare at the moon in silence, thinking about the past, present, and future. They realize that even though the world may be ending, there's still beauty left worth treasuring.
