In Go Jetters season 2 episode 8, titled Petra, Jordan, the team travels to the ancient city of Petra in the southern part of Jordan. The Go Jetters, Xuli, Kyan, Lars and Foz, meet their friend and guide, Najila, who takes them on a tour of the city.

Petra is known for its rock-cut architecture and water conduits system, which was carved out of the rock and allowed for an abundance of water in the desert environment. The Go Jetters are impressed by the ancient city and all the historical structures they see. They learn about the Nabateans, who built the city around 312 BCE, and its significance as a major trading hub for caravans traveling from Asia to Europe.

During their tour, the team comes across the Treasury, a magnificent structure carved out of rose-colored rock, which served as the Nabateans' royal tomb. They find out that it was also used as a filming location for the movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

The Go Jetters discover more about the Raqmu Palace, which was the home of the Nabatean rulers and used as a venue for their religious gatherings. They are fascinated by the ancient irrigation system, which allowed for water to be distributed equally among the inhabitants of the city from the nearby mountains.

Najila takes the team to the Street of Facades, a row of monumental tombs which forms one of Petra's most distinct features. She informs them about the various symbols and images on the tombs and their significance in the Nabatean culture.

The group also visits the Monastery, the largest monument in Petra, and witnesses its stunning architecture, largely untouched by time. They marvel at the breathtaking view of the valley from the top of the Monastery.

As the team continues their tour, they come across a mountain that has been damaged by quarrying activities. They learn about the detrimental effects of quarrying on the environment and how it can potentially damage ancient archaeological sites like Petra.

The Go Jetters come up with a plan to protect the city by creating a barrier with rocks to prevent further quarrying from taking place. With the help of Najila and the Petra residents, they successfully create the barrier, which proves to be effective in blocking off access to the quarry site.

The episode ends with the Go Jetters saying goodbye to Najila and thanking her for showing them around the ancient city of Petra. The team looks back at the stunning landmarks they have seen and the memorable experiences they have shared. They are grateful to have learned about the rich history of Petra and are pleased to have helped protect the site from further damage.
