Timmy Time is a British, stop-motion animated series catering to a pre-school audience. A spin-off of Shaun the Sheep, Timmy Time stars Timmy, a three-year-old sheep who is trying to make new friends, share with them, and learn how to work through mutual problems. Timmy gets in trouble in most of the episodes, but learns from his mistakes as the series progresses. While in preschool, taught by Harriet the Heron and Osbourne the Owl, Timmy hooks up with a number of students. Yabba the Duckling is one of Timmy's closest friends and sometimes collaborates in his schemes. Another friend is Paxton, a heavyset piglet with a voracious appetite. Other members of Timmy's class include Mittens, a kitten who doesn't like to get dirty and has feelings for Timmy, Ruffy, a hyperactive Puppy, and the sleepy badger named Stripey. None of the characters in Timmy Time speak English. Instead, they converse using sounds preschoolers would hear if they visited a farm or a zoo. For example, Timmy talks in baas while his friend Yabba quacks. Though they all speak differently, everyone on Timmy Time understands everyone else. Timmy Time was created by Jackie Cockle and produced in conjunction between the United Kingdom's Aardman Animators and the American public television station WGBH. Those voicing characters include Kate Harbour, Justin Fletcher, and Louis Jones. Three series of Timmy Time were produced, with a total of 78 episodes running 10 minutes each. The last original episode aired in July of 2012. Timmy Time premiered in 2009 on the UK's CBeebies and Australia's ABC1. In 2010 the program made its U.S. debut on the Disney Channel's block of preschool programming known as Playhouse Disney. As of this writing, it remains as part of the network's Disney Junior brand.
