In Episode 3 of Gomorrah's fourth season, tension is running high between the warring Camorra family factions. As the Savastano clan tries to cling to their power and territory in Naples, they face mounting threats from rival gangs and ambitious upstarts.
At the start of the episode, we see Don Pietro Savastano (portrayed by Fortunato Cerlino) still in hiding, after narrowly escaping an assassination attempt. His son Genny (Salvatore Esposito) is struggling to keep the family business together in his father's absence, while also dealing with his own personal demons and marital problems.
Meanwhile, Enzo and his group of young thugs continue to gain momentum as they gather support from local business owners and residents. Their goal is to start their own criminal enterprise and challenge the established hierarchy of the Camorra. But they soon find themselves in over their heads, as even more ruthless and violent factions come after them.
As the violence escalates, tensions also rise within the Savastano family. Genny's wife Patrizia (Cristiana Dell'Anna) is increasingly disillusioned with the gangster lifestyle and wants to leave it all behind. But Genny is desperate to keep her by his side, as he sees her as his only real ally in a world where everyone is out to get him.
In this episode, we also see the return of Ciro Di Marzio (Marco D'Amore), a former confidante of the Savastanos who has been missing for months. His reappearance brings a glimmer of hope to Don Pietro, who sees him as a potential savior for the family. But as always, Ciro's loyalties are murky at best, and it's unclear whose side he's really on.
Overall, Episode 3 of Gomorrah's fourth season is a tense, action-packed installment that shows the various factions of the Camorra at their most cutthroat and desperate. It also highlights the personal struggles of the characters, as they continue to grapple with the toll that the gangster lifestyle takes on their relationships and psyches.
