Ep 3. Borderline

Three mothers who can barely make ends meet decide to rob a local grocery store. In episode 3 of Good Girls, titled "Borderline," the ladies find themselves in over their heads when their plan goes awry.

Dean, Beth's husband, is worried that Beth is having an affair when she's really out conducting their illegal business. Annie's ex-husband, Greg, discovers the stolen money and confronts her about it.

Back in Canada, the women strike up an unlikely friendship with the money launderer's son, who is being forced to work for his dad. They bond over their shared struggles with parenthood and their precarious situations.

As the women prepare to head back to the U.S., they encounter more problems at the border. The border patrol agents have received a tip about a church group with a large sum of money crossing over, and they're suspicious. The women use their wits, pulling together a believable story that convinces the agents to let them through.

They make it back to the U.S. safely, but their problems are far from over. The money launderer is still demanding more money, and the women are left wondering how they're going to get themselves out of this mess.

As the episode winds down, we see just how much the women's illegal activities are weighing on them. They're forced to confront the reality that they're in over their heads and have no idea how to extricate themselves from their criminal enterprise.
