Ep 2. Slow Down, Children At Play

In Good Girls season 2 episode 2, titled Slow Down, Children At Play, we see the aftermath of the makeshift money printing operation carried out by the three leading ladies. Beth, Ruby, and Annie are left with a large sum of counterfeit cash and are unsure of what their next move should be. As a result, he is attacked, and Beth rushes to the hospital to be with him. While at the hospital, she meets a woman who tells her about a supposedly handyman hired by her to fix something in the house, but instead stole jewelry and other valuables.

Meanwhile, Annie is still hooked on Greg - her ex-husband who is now dating her sister. She is trying to win him back by allowing him to spend time with her daughter, Sadie. However, her sister and Greg's new girlfriend, Nancy, are not happy with her, and things get awkward between the three.

Ruby, on the other hand, is facing problems of her own. Her daughter's medication is running low, and she and her husband, Stan, are having trouble affording it. They are starting to feel the weight of their increasing debt and financial struggles, and it's starting to affect their marriage.

The ladies are also dealing with threats from the gang members they stole from. In a scene where Beth is trying to procure a gun to protect herself and her family, an altercation between her and one of the men takes place, leaving her in a vulnerable position. The situation becomes even more dangerous when the counterfeit money that they buried gets into the hands of young kids in the neighborhood - Young kids with big mouths.

As the police launch a citywide search for the culprits, Ruby, Beth, and Annie quickly realize they are in trouble. The girls know they have to move fast if they want to avoid trouble with the law and the gang members whose money they stole. They decide to enlist the help of their eccentric friend, Boomer, in order to get the buried cash back. However, their efforts to retrieve the money are disrupted by a twist of fate that only adds to their woes.

Overall, Good Girls season 2 episode 2 is an excellent continuation of the show's themes of crime and sisterhood. The episode sets up several interesting plot lines, and the performances from the main actors are top-notch. Slow Down, Children At Play also continues to explore the moral ambiguity of the three main characters, diving deeper into what motivates their descent into criminal activities and how they navigate the consequences of their actions.
