Ep 1. Pilot

In the opening scene, we see Grace Atwood (Daisy Head) carelessly dancing in a club with her roommate, Roz (Simona Brown). Shortly after, they head back to their flat and are rudely interrupted by a knock at the door - it's the police, investigating the gruesome murder of Grace's younger sister, Molly. We soon learn that Grace and Molly were estranged and hadn't spoken in months.

The police quickly hone in on Grace's potential involvement in the murder, especially given her DNA being found at the scene. But she maintains her innocence, claiming that she was actually with the private investigator she hired to find her sister on the night of the murder.

Grace's story becomes even more suspicious when we learn that she also has a tumultuous relationship with her brother-in-law, Prince Theo (Billy Zane), who she claims to have seen from afar on the night of the murder. As the investigation progresses, more and more secrets are revealed, and it becomes clear that even the closest family members have something to hide.

Meanwhile, Grace's wealthy parents, Stan (Anthony Head) and Vanessa (Caroline Goodall), are rocked by the news of Molly's murder and seemingly prioritizing their reputations over their family. Their concern for optics is highlighted when Stan hires an attorney for Grace almost immediately, even though she insists that she didn't need one.

As the episode comes to a close, we're left with more questions than answers. Did Grace really hire the private investigator, or did she have another motive for being out that night? What skeletons are hiding in the Atwood family's closet? And most importantly, who really killed Molly Atwood?

Overall, the Pilot episode of "Guilt" does a fantastic job of setting the stage for a thrilling, multi-layered murder mystery. The characters are complex and flawed, and the web of secrets that surrounds the murder feels realistic and intriguing. I'm definitely excited to see where the story goes from here.
