Ep 22. The Brave Warrior's Soul Is Released

The episode opens with the aftermath of Taikobo's attack on Bunchu. Bunchu's body is lying still on the ground as everyone stares in disbelief. Suddenly, a dark cloud of energy surrounds Bunchu's body and his soul emerges. The soul looks worn out and drained, but it still manages to speak.

Bunchu's soul demands to know why Taikobo attacked him. Taikobo calmly explains that he did it to free Bunchu from the burden of his sins. Bunchu's soul is skeptical but Taikobo reassures him that he knows what he's doing.

Meanwhile, Dakki and Fugen Shinjin are still battling it out. Fugen Shinjin demands that Dakki release all the souls she has captured over the years. Dakki refuses to comply and instead summons a powerful dragon that smashes into Fugen Shinjin.

Fugen Shinjin manages to dodge the attack but the dragon continues on its path of destruction. The dragon proceeds to attack Hokojo, destroying everything in its path. Fugen Shinjin realizes that he needs to stop the dragon before it reaches its destination.

Back at Bunchu's body, the soul of the brave warrior starts to fade away. However, before it goes, Bunchu's soul asks Taikobo to promise to fulfill his unfinished duty. Taikobo agrees to do so and rushes back to his team.

Once he arrives, he explains to his team that his new plan is to stop Dakki at Hokojo. The team is hesitant at first, but they eventually agree to follow Taikobo.

As they approach Hokojo, they come across the dragon that Dakki summoned. Taikobo realizes that he needs to defeat the dragon in order to reach Dakki.

A battle ensues between the team and the dragon. Even though they are outnumbered, they manage to hold their own. They finally manage to take down the dragon and push on to Hokojo.

As they reach Hokojo, they encounter a fierce resistance from Dakki's troops. However, Taikobo's team continues to push forward. Finally, they reach Dakki and the two engage in a final showdown.

The battle is intense and both sides take heavy damage. However, it is Taikobo who ultimately emerges victorious. Dakki's soul is released and all the souls she had captured are finally freed.

With their mission complete, Taikobo's team prepares to depart. Before they go, Taikobo fulfills his promise to Bunchu's soul and places his sword on Bunchu's grave.

The episode ends with Taikobo's team walking away from Hokojo, with the knowledge that they have completed their duty and saved countless souls in the process.
