It soon becomes clear that their efforts are connected to Bauer, as they find evidence of his involvement in the theft ring. Mia, who is working undercover with the thieves, gets some critical information about Bauer's plan to steal a valuable painting.

As the team rushes to put together a plan to intercept Bauer and his accomplices, they are forced to improvise on the fly when they learn that the painting is set to be auctioned off on a yacht, currently in international waters. The team devises a daring plan that involves dropping in on the yacht from the air, with Kono and Mia posing as thieves intending to steal the painting.
